The Ebel Family
Martin Ebel was born in Germany in 1960. He lived there until 1981 at which time he moved to Australia.
By this time he was married to Rose, who was born in Yugoslavia, but had lived in Germany since 1970.
Rose and Martin have a son Ricky, who was born in Australia in 1982.
In 1987 the Ebel's moved back to Germany where Martin completed an apprenticeship as a truck mechanic. During
this time Rose came to know the Lord through the ministry of American missionaries from the city they lived in.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1989. Martin also accepted Christ in 1989 at a revival meeting at
an U.S. Military Chapel which they were invited to by some American friends of theirs. Their son Ricky accepted
Christ in 1990 while visiting his home country Australia.
After many prayers Martin applied to Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. Martin was
accepted and has studied and prepared himself there for ministry to the Australian aboriginals. Martin graduated
in May 1995. The Ebel's were accepted as missionaries to Australia by Fellowship International Mission in 1994
after completing the candidate school for missionaries.
The Ebel family was commissioned on June 2/4, 2000 by their home church The Church at Brook Hills
for missionary service to the Aboriginals. On June 11, 2000 Martin, Rose and Ricky Ebel left to begin their
missioary service.
